Can Keyshia Cole touch Mary J. Blige? Fans from both camps are comparing the Young Keyshia to Mary in style, swagger, and street cred. I am a huge fan of Ms. Blige. I've been to three of her concerts spanning from the time when she was going through issues with that crack head boyfriend of hers KC of Jodeci to No More Drama...I can say they were all great performances. I like Keyshia Cole, especially that new club banger "Let it Go", but I just can't give her the props just yet. What ya'll think?!!

yes they are very similar, they both over sing and have the propensity to sing off key.
Mary however has lasted long enough to show tons of growth, Mary live in 06 was 100 times better then Mary live in 99. I don't know if Keisha has that kinda staying power tho she might have to speed it up.
Ok so Keyshia pretty much has sounded a mess every time I've seen her perform live so there's no way in hell I would ever compare her to Mary. As for appearance and tattoos she's pretty much on par with Mary when she first hit the scene. I wouldn't hold my breath though. Let's get real Mary is on Chevy commercials and has done collabos with the likes of Elton John and Aretha Franklin. Enough said.

I like Keyshia. I think she could be the modern day Mary with more experience. Wait, Mary aint that old. Mary is the modern day Mary. Yeah! Can't nobody beat Mary. But Keyshia is definitely following behind her footsteps!

well, what i think people need to look at first is the fact that keyshia and mary come from completely different backgrounds and are completely different women. I cant stand when ppl downplay keyshia's hustle when she's tryna make a better life for herself and send out a message. Mary is the greatest, yes i agree, but even she can vouch for keyshia's talent and passion becuz its near the same lines as her own. Keyshia is young and she has major potential and deserves respect. its not like she puttin music out, spreading messages about shakin her ass and beatin sum bitch up in the street, shes writing and singing from the heart and it reaches ours. Those of yall that front like they dont like it, still listen to it and buy it, simply becuz they like it. STOP HATIN. Keyshia is doing her own thing and will continue to do it. As for Mary, shes Mary and is an inspirational figure that produces great music that we will our store in our libraries and label as a classic. ....
And please dont just post insulting things about artists on blog when they are making a living for themselves.. Its not like they can here. And in cases like this, Keyshia will most likely let it roll off her shoulder and use as motivation and Mary would not be happy with it being done to a young, female singer tryna make it.
