Saddam Hussein Is Dead
- Former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein has been executed.

The former Iraqi dictator who terrorized a nation for nearly a quarter-century until he was deposed and captured by U.S. troops, was hanged at dawn Saturday for ordering the murders of 148 of his countrymen 24 years ago.

though, particularly the Shiites and Kurds who lost hundreds of thousands to his bloody regime, saw his death as justice for the broader crimes of his rule.

People are cheering and honking their horns in the streets of Dearborn, Michigan, where a large population live.

Mariah Takes On Porn Star

DECEMBER 28--After threatening legal action to protect her valuable name from an encroaching porn star, Mariah Carey yesterday filed a formal opposition to the bid by actress (and former California gubernatorial candidate) Mary Carey to trademark her stage name. In a notice filed with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, the pop singer's company, Automatic Princess Holdings, argues that Mary Carey's bid to trademark her name for use in adult films, DVDs, cassettes, computer programs, and other commercial endeavors is likely to result in confusion for the consumer. The public, Mariah Carey contends, is "likely to mistakenly associate the goods offered" by Mary Carey--whose real name is Mary Cook--with the performer's "goods and services." The December 27 notice of opposition, a copy of which you'll find below, requests that Mary Carey's trademark attempt be rejected by USPTO officials. Mary Carey, 26, has appeared in films like "Hot Showers 6" and "Lesbian Big Boob Bangeroo 2," and received 11,000 votes in her 2003 election won by Arnold Schwarzenegger. Mariah Carey, 36, is, as her filing notes, "a world-famous singer, musical performer, and celebrity." She also appeared in the 2001 film "Glitter."

We found her you guys and Word is , Nelly recently proposed to Ashanti. They have been seen together for a while now, and have been spotted in many places. They do make a nice couple. Won't that be great another hopeful.

Many Fans Danced, Played his music in the streets all morning in Harlem. The Streets were crowded with people, I know, I was there.
People waited in line to see(Godfather) James brown for
hours.

They only allowed 20 guest at a time. Thousands waited to say goodbye to the Godfather of Soul...I hope these photos give you an idea.. Thousands of people from all over the world.



New York City(Harlem) really gave James Brown an out of this world sendoff. I've seen it with my own eyes. Fab!!!

Spike Lee as director for James Brown Movie



Spike Lee will be directing the movie about the life of the late James Brown. The movie, which is funded by Paramount Pictures is set to begin filming in 2008. The godfather of Soul assisted with the development of the film prior to his death and the movie is produced by Brian Grazer (who also produced one of my favorite movies, Boomerang) full story

I sure would like to know who is going to play James Brown in the movie....this should be interesting!

What do Wayne Newton, Celine Dion and Michael Jackson have in common? If Donald Trump and his partners have their way, they all will have a resident performing gig in Las Vegas

Trump's Las Vegas partners have been courting Jackson to perform at the New Frontier Hotel and Casino, Us Weekly magazine reports. New Frontier owner Phil Ruffin and partner Jack Wishna have reportedly spoken to representatives of Jackson about a long-term residency.

He's expected to earn 80 Millions

Jackson has in the past reportedly been interested in performing in Las Vegas. The singer is a frequent visitor to the city, where his parents and sister LaToya live. (Does Toya still live with her parents, Hmm )

Godfather of Soul James Brown has died.

Brown died at 1.45am at Emory Crawford Long Hospital in Atlanta after being admitted there over the weekend for treatment of severe pneumonia, his agent, Frank Copsidas, said.

The singer, also known as Mr Dynamite, is credited with bringing the word "funk." Brown's hit Say it Loud (I'm Black and I'm Proud)

into mainstream musical vernacular and influencing a new generation of black music that spawned rap and hip-hop.
